It's your own stupid fault then, isn't it? =p I did work experience at an electronics engineering firm. They build Inmarsat D+ terminals with GPS units which are used across the world for tracking purposes - the UN use them, the US and UK militaries use them (especially in Iraq), the tuna fishing industry uses them (buoys with temperature sensors that report back their location and the water temperature, used for finding where the tuna shoals will be), shipping companies use them (they created a modified version of the terminal that can form ad-hoc networks, so on a container ship with a terminal in every container, even the ones at the bottom can get messages out), etc etc. I was working on a design with an accelerometer for use on helium-carrying train cars in the US - the car plus its helium payload is worth millions of dollars, and they wanted to know if they were being knocked around by the railway handlers.

Hey, I worked in WHSmiths and ended up with an actual job there. Although I do have to admit Tescos is pretty aweful.
