Dear Mr Jonathan Stroud,
Firstly, thank you for all the great Bartimaeus books.
There is 1 small question which came to mind while I compared the first and last book of the trilogy. It is: what period is this series set in? It does say in the Amulet of Samarkand that this is after the 1st World War, has laptops (from Arthur Underwood's study), phones (when Lovelace is talking to somebody), but later in the series, only buses, limousines and the subway are significant.
In the Bartimaeus Wikia it says the last book is set in 2005, but then, the use of common technology is not mentioned (ie. Washing Machines, TV etc.)
Thank you in advance,
Amwraithe (official Bartiforum name)
