TV Tropes Page?

Lockwood & Co.
I was just checking out TVTropes to see if they had anything about Lockwood & Co. (they've got a fairly extensive BT page already) I found a fat lot of nothing.

Sooooo, would anyone be interested in helping me make one? You don't need to put in a huge time commitment or anything, just if anyone can help me out with the page making process/editing process (never done it before) or can suggest any tropes that would fit the series.

Well, I'd help if I had any idea how to do that...

Power Trio? or Two Guys And A Girl? or Three Amigos

The Locket was a Chekhov's Gun

Edit: Parental Abandonment,

Edit2: After reading the short story, it seems Lockwood is a bit of this.

This is basically the Plot

I've been saying that since he was all "Let's investigate the hall with two days notice, guys!"

Thanks for the additions!

I don't know if I should tell you this, because the site is very easy to lose large chunks of time to, but tvtropes.com is a site that names and catalogues various "storytelling devices" used in film, books, etc. It often has pages for different series, for example here's the one on the Bartimaeus Trilogy. Basically I'm taking input on a similar page for Lockwood.

I am sorely tempted to start the Lockwood page with "In an alternate version of modern London," to mirror the Bartimaeus one.

Adults are Useless could definitely fit the series too, especially with them not even being able to see ghosts.

I don't think the ghosts in the series exactly fit anything on the Our Ghosts Are Different page because it seems like everyone turns into a ghost when they die (who died after The Problem started; not sure about before), but Annie Ward definitely had some unfinished business.

And Lockwood and Co probably fall somewhere under Who You Gonna Call?

Avenge me on the Our Ghosts are different link seems to fit the bill

I don't think that *everybody* becomes a ghost, only those who meet a sticky end.

You could start it with ''In a an alternate London where the dead haunt the living....''

I'm not really that familiar with the site, but I'll help if I can.

Under Power Trio, possibly Knight Knave and Squire. Lockwood is the Knight, George is the Knave, and Lucy is the Squire.

Whoa, someone's really familiar with TV tropes over here!
I'll write the script, if no-one minds

I was under the impression that GhostCornflakes was going to work on it in unison with someone(s) but I personally wouldn't mind! I could help with formatting too over there, if needed.
Honestly I'm adjusting to a new job right now (and being sick, blarggh) so if anyone wants to write the script that's just fine.

But today I might as well try to create the page, we don't necessarily need to have anything on it yet. Or I'll just write a really quick placeover and add the tropes and if people want to fill in details later that's fine.

Yeah it's just allergies, I should be fine.

Thank you very much for linking the page, as well as writing most of the summary! Anyone who wants to make more edits, as well as put L&C examples in other tropes, is totally welcome to it.

Looking Great! I feel like something related to Hero Insurance may be applicable somehow. Remember how Lockwood & Co. was dumped with paying for the damages on their housecall in the very first chapter?

You mean when they torched the whole house, right?

Ooooh some mysterious stranger ("Marty") prettied up the page a bit. Thank you! But Paranormal Investigation needs a content example apparently, had someone sending me messages about it on the site.

Also Iamofficiallyatroperyouguysthisisexcitingforme. After countless hours wasted on that site I'm adding to it. I would add more but I don't actually have a copy of the book at the moment.

It looks like the name is "Literature: Lockwoodand Co". Is there anyway to change it to "Lockwood & Co." or "Lockwood and Co.", if the ampersand isn't possible? (ie. space after Lockwood and period after 'Co' ") Thanks!

I'm unsure if you can, as I'm not that big of a troper; however a lot of books from what I can tell have "Literature" in front of their titles for their Trope pages. I suppose it's to help differentiate, for example works with similar titles or works that have been adapted into different form of media. They might have something in their FAQ or whatever though...idk if that was much help.
