It's exam season, everyone's slacking off from their Bartiforums duties. =(

Pfft. In my opinion, a small five or ten minutes break would do good. People should be able to read and post in that time.
But there are people who prefer not to use the computer during their exams lest they end up spending a lot of time on it.

Have been having exams during this whole month. Soon I'll have my final exams. Dx
By the way, I never really understood the educational system in the US and Canada and the UK. :-/ . When do you have your exams?

Summary for the UK:
School year starts in Autumn. GCSE exams in summer term of the school year you turn 16; A level modules in spring and summer terms of the next two school years (which are your last).
University exams depend on the course, but are usually at the end of the first and third years. Science courses often have exams in second year as well. Some courses may have a fourth year giving a master's rather than bachelor's degree.

In Canada, university exams are April, high school June.

In Ireland people who are in 3rd year and 6th year of high school have State Exams and then all years in University. State Exams are in June (Which I'm doing in two weeks) and University exams are in April/May.

Yes. Yes we do. Most of us, anyway. Scottish unis do four years, so David gets a four year.

The pit of vegetables sounds unpleasant.

And I envy the fact that you could get a bachelor plus master degree in 4 years.
Over here, for pure science, arts and commerce, you get a bachelor's in 3 years. For engineering and technology, you get a bachelor's in 4 years. And in both cases mostly, you have to study for an extra 2 years to get master's.
But weirdly, a 4-year B.Tech programme is considered equal to a 5-year M.Sc one.

I'm doing co-op, so it will take 5 years :/

Then you'll be graduating same time as me then, I think I'm probably going to stay where I am for another year.

Working at a farmer's market does sound very interesting.
Sometimes I wish I could do things just to experience them. Like working.

Actually I've seen some programs over here that allow you to speed it up as long as you qualify. They all send you to a faculty in Europe.

Well... so that's why there hasn't been a lot of people active on bartiforums... my exams are in 3 weeks, so I still have some time...

Still have some time? Man, I'm on t-minus three weeks and the panic is setting in...

And my exams are ooooover :D

My exams got over a little more than a month ago but I have now have to start studying for my M.Sc. entrance examinations. :(
