AIONIOSRight, tell your Dad to get a needle and a syringe, and extract some of your blood, then tell me what colour it is. Note, it won't have been exposed to oxygen inside the syringe.andalusian_mare wrote: oxygenated blood is bright red

OXYGENATED!!!!!
as in AFTER it's been exposed to oxygen. when it is inside you its blue.

to everyone who's dissing my dad... I never actually asked him...
BUT I HAVE THE REAL ANSWER!!!
blood is red when it is outside of you (it's in contact with oxygen)
When it is inside of you it is colourless, as there is no light inside of your blood vessels and arteries.
problem solved.
