The covers of the books look so stupid! Right?

General Discussion

The jackets I mean. I have the American version. Everytime I take the book out to reread, all of my friends give me a "Are you serious?" look. The artwork looks so silly! I totally love the books, but no one believes me when I say they're good because of the stupid artwork on the cover! When I took out Ptolemy's Gate, my friend was like, "Who's that lion thing?" -_-'
Eeerrrrrmm, they look fine to me, newb.

Your no likely to find one who agrees, dear noob, but I have to admit, PG's cover was a bit... ambiguous.

are you kidding?! The covers are amazing! And the PG one was good. Well, actually the covers depend on which country you live in. But the north america paper back ones look fine.
I retracted my wing briefly, held the boy so he had a quick view of the square.
"Take a look," I said. "Which house do you think has the thinnest walls?"

For a moment, he was uncomprehending. Then his eyes widened. "You're
not---"

"That one? With the pink shutters? Yes, maybe you're right. Well, let's see..."

well I mostly was talking about the PG cover. And I'm not a newb! I've been on this site for forever, but when I tried to log in, it didn't work so I had to make a new account. >:0

Oh.
Well I'll still think of and call you a noob.
So sorry.
What was your old Screen?
And I thought the covers for AoS and GE were good.
I personally liked AoS the best out of the three.

It was the same name, but for some reason they deleted it? I dunno, but I still have the same activation email for that one. And now that I've seen all of the covers on the website, I definitely mean the United States covers. The U.K. versions look totally awesome!! Not fair!

Hey! Newbies need to be spoken to with reverence!

Yeah, the UK ones are better. >.<

Bookfan, apparently the admins wanted to get rid of a few accounts (OK maybe a few hundred) that were made but not used. Yours might have been one of them.

And the covers look pretty good.
Bookfan ( :welcome: by the way), did you ever post on your old account. If you didn't it probably was deleted.

I don't have too much of a problem with the covers (though it looks kinda weird if you carry them around your highschool) especially since they're childrens fantasy (othewise, I'd think they were kind of juvenile).

Edit: Nero got to it first.

Well, I didn't really mind about the American covers. Okay, they might look a little juvenile compared to the UK editions, but like Fuzzy said, they're children's books.

We didn't delete the accounts just because they were inactive, we had to clear out many spambot and unfortunately some genuine members with few posts were caught in the deletion.
hi there
So, bookfan, what was the name of your old account

Oddly the first one is also in English.
Those covers should be the covers of the American adult edition! (if there was an US adult's edition of BT, that is)
