I'm mentally preparing for this by reading the Epilogue and trying to get my expectations as low as possible.

But I know it will be brilliant. There reviews are incredibly positive.

no one's planning on reading this? don't fail me, forumers!
I definitely will once I read my way through this pile of textbooks. The plot sounds intriguing.

It's not that long, like about the same as the first 3 harry potter books.

You can do the textbooks later.
Planning on reading it once i get done with a couple of exams.

Yeah I'm sorry Luciene I haven't seen any positive reviews.

Though a few too many of them compare this book to Harry Potter.
I've heard good and bad things, but nothing from anyone who's opinion I usually trust. I'm reserving judgement for now.

Unfortunately "I didn't like it because it was nothing like Harry Potter," is going to be unavoidable.

I have read more positive reviews than negative ones.

I haven't got my copy yet, but I'm slightly skeptical about books that market themself by claiming to be adult and all about "mature"topics. i couldn't get through Perks of being a Wallflower.

Rowling says this is a comedy and i find her funny so hopefully that will make up for any awkward moments where she tries to be shocking and mature

I didn't like this book! I think I have bruises from where she beat the message into me
but i totally shed tears on the last chapter which is more than I an say for Deathly Hallows

The book had its ups and downs, but I love her writing style, whatever the topic.

Left me feeling awful, though.

It should have been shorter, I thought the begin was a little slow and wordy. If I didn't have to take the train that week, I would never have got through the first few chapters.

My favourite character was the cougar.

Didn't read it yet, but JKR's overall writes pretty well.
