It's just because Stroud keeps talking about how bored Kitty is, it rubs off on me.
When I set out from the boy's attic window, my head was so full of competing plans and complex strategems that I didn't look where I was going and flew straight into a chimney.

Something symbolic in that. It's what fake freedom does for you.
AoS is the best cuz it has the most Nat Bart interaction!
PG is my least favourite of the four (although the ending was awesome), not enough Nat and Bart and too much Kitty.

Word. But, still, not the best. It's the second best, right after Ptolemy's Gate.
I loved GE as well, but it has to be my least fav -despite of Honorius. He was awesome.

It is way awesome but not awesome enough to beat PG.
Click please I will be glad. :D

I think AoS is the best of the trilogy because we get loads of Bartimaeus, and it's a great introduction to the world of TBT
Next comes PG; It's the stunning finale, with dramatic interactions, and awesome character developements
Then we have RoS, with it's insight into a younger Bartimaeus and bickering with Faquarl
Lastly, there's GE which has too much Kitty and not enough Bart in it for my taste.

Yikes.

I guess I have a dearly unpopular opinion; oh well.

I loved Amulet of Samarkand; I loathed through Golem's Eye; and I'm starting to like Ptolemy's Gate (particularly the parts where Ptolemy and Bart's involved; as well as Bart showing his loyalty for his deceased master).

Oh well.

This is an old post.. So the 4th wasnt written yet, but i would say Solomos Ring was best

Solomon's Ring is certainly the most different with the most focus on Bartimaeus.

Asmira's character development was also really unique in RoS.
Asmira was amazing.

Well, she only had one book to do so as opposed to Nat's three. Quite refreshing actually.

Somehow I've never liked her - she's always seemed way too sure of herself. And it really irritated me that she was able to summon Bart. The fact that she's gotten to Solomon's palace just seems so unrealistic.
Yes, I've just called something "unrealistic" in a book full of spirits and magic, but those are my thoughts on the subject.

Replying to a post almost a month old is weird.

Nah it's fine
As for the confidence thing, I thinks it's pretty nice to see a female character who's not an emotionally wilting flower, she is pretty young and, at least to her eyes, has had a great honour bestowed upon her.
And I dunno, just how difficult is it really to summon a demon? Despite being a day late and a book short Kitty managed it pretty easily without any practise at all. I bet summoning rituals weren't as sophisticated back then as they are in Nat's time.
Getting into Solomon's palace couldn't have been exactly easy, but she was trained her whole life as a warrior.

I guess that's true, but sometimes I felt like she was a strong independent woman just for the sake of being a strong independent woman. I don't have anything against strong independent women, mind you (xd), she just felt forced at times.

I'm pretty sure she presented herself that way on purpose, especially towards Bart and The Patriachy TM. She was young and angry; sheer determinations must count for something, even against infiltrating a castle.
