Tell Me. I dare ya.

Amulet Of Samarkand
Yes. He's an abnormally ambitious, clever and determined eleven year old, was there any question that he would be a high ranking magician in the later books? Though I was thinking he was going to turn out to be one of those cautionary tale characters, you know, too much pride and youthful arrogrance would lead to an unsavoury end. he really was in over his head in the first book. ;)

Quite.. Umm *looks at first post again*
I still stand by my thing. Given the chance, Nat could have turned out to be a great magician, and possible not so self serving as all the others, though after all, with commoners having a say, what could he do?

He always had the potential to be a good magician. Being able to summon a djinni or the fourteenth level after just one other summon shows that. Honestly though, I never really thought about it. It just seemed obvious that he would become great after the events of the first and second books.
And then PG came along...

Well, its true. :hmm: Poor Nat...

Now that I think about it, I reckon he counts as a great magician because he was part of the first Human-Spirit Meld with both working together.
And he worked Gladstones staff. And he saved the ministry in AoS. And he rose up in the ministry in record time. And he saved all those commoners in PG. Need I go on?

He wasn't the first Djinn-Human meld, he was the first where the djinn didn't rip out its hosts brain.
