For those who own a copy of Sid Meier's Pirates! (complete with unnecessary exclamation mark!), there's apparently an Easter egg where the dialogue changes if you play it on September 19th.

Uuurgh. My school announced it. It was my secret! I was going to dress like a pirate and talk like a pirate! And get detention! But now everyone (geeky, that is)'s going to do it, so I'm going to dress like a ninja and spark fights in the hallways.

Ahoy there! Today be a fun day, I be listening to pirate metal all day! Aaargh!!! Those scurvy dogs, them coward teachers, aye, they made me stop.

A little late but...

“Avast, me hearties! Get the slimy bilge rat who stole our loot!”

Scorpius turned as a horde of Gryffindors raced around a corner, knocking past the suits of armor lining the hall. Lily Potter ran past him, slinging a bag from Honeydukes over her shoulder. Rose and Hugo Weasley grabbed for the little girl, almost grabbing her as she giggled and spun just out of reach. “Ye’ll never get me, ye land lubbers!” she called as she turned round another bend.

Well, that was… different, Scorpius thought, turning back the way he was going.

“Ahoy, me lusty lad,” Albus purred, cornering Scorpius out of nowhere. “I’d love to drop anchor in your lagoon.”

“Potter, what the hell?”

“International Talk Like a Pirate Day,” was all the explanation he got before he was pushed up the wall having his mouth plundered.

When he was able to catch his breath again Scorpius was only able to stammer out, “Well, blow me down?”
