Read Skulduggery Pleasant the other day, JS apparently thought it was good (it said so on the back of the book). It was pretty easy reading, probably aimed at younger people than me. All the same, I enjoyed it for what it was. Nothing great of course, but fun. Anyone else read it . . . ?
When I set out from the boy's attic window, my head was so full of competing plans and complex strategems that I didn't look where I was going and flew straight into a chimney.

Something symbolic in that. It's what fake freedom does for you.
I have not. But welcome back.

I've read the first one, but I'm not in a rush to read the others. I agree with Umbreo, it's okay, but it's not great.

Apparantly they're making a film.

I think a film could be a lot better than the books. In all honesty, the story and characters, if cast well, could really shine in a film adaptation, and the book's plot doesn't really need much adaptation to screen anyway, as it's pretty screen friendly.
