Every frigging time I onto Microsoft Word to open any saved document, a pop up from Norton always gives me this:

I close the Norton window, the document still comes on fine thankfully (thank God), but ya know, I still wanna know the reason for why I'm getting that irritating pop up. (The only half decent theory I can think of is 'for the hell of it.') I even from the pop up clicked on a link into their so called 'support' and that site helped NOTHING to explain my WTF? In fact, it proved to further confuse me.

Perhaps my mind is just too primitive to comprehend what's going on and there's some mass destructive dangerous blueberry in my text files that is going to crawl outta my computer screen and eat me, I don't know.

I hate Norton.

And yes, I complain to my Mom. And yes, she ignores me.

Uninstall the damn thing.

Although I should warn you, Norton leaves files behind even after it's been uninstalled. One company has a product that's used just for getting those files off of your computer.

I don't feel like listening to the non stop bitching not to 'tamper with stuff.' (I swear, nothing I ever download or remove is for any good reason. One time she blamed on the computer freezing at one point on firefox.) Then she'd probably give me a computer ban after that. Bleh.

Yeah, Norton is a massive steaming heap of Cabbage. As Artemis mentioned, Eset provide tools for getting shot of McAfee or Norton.

McAfee is so annoying.
