yeah, most schools are back by about 14th September. Universities are any time after then.

And I think Labour day weekend is just the first weekend in September so it isn't always the same days. Once we (might've been last year hmmm...) even went back on the seventh.

But studies have shown teenagers work better when allowed to sleep in.

registration is at 8:40am but breakfast is at 7:30 so i count school from there :p im in my school uniform and having to sit in a room with other people in school uniform while being bored out of my mind. so no different to lessons.

But... there's food.

yeah, so its no different to lunch break, which is in school.

I love my lunch break. Me and a group of people (most friends, some friends of friends, occasionally random people who I've never met before in my life) sit near one of the stairs. It can be very entertaining.

i do a load of lessons/fulfill stupid commitments during lunch. i dont think i had a single lunch break free last year...cant remember what i was doing in them tho

See, we finish at 5. I have to be up at 7 to get to school for it starting at 8:30 anyway.

i finish at 4:30 but then we have compulsory prep where we cant talk/play computer games/go on the internet or do anything else not work related until 6:40 so i count that as school as well :p

I had that at my old boarding school. I moved for 6th Form. Where I was allowed to come home for lunch, and had home study. So a typical morning would involve me rolling out of bed at about quarter to eight, leaving for school at about twenty-five to nine, and arriving at school by twenty-to, with a good five minutes before registration.

bwahhh, im jealous. some boarding schools let you spend your free periods in your dorms and eat lunch there. not mine DX what school were you at?

School's from 08:50 to 15:00 for me.

My school has two buildings, the North and South buildings, and there is a tunnel connecting them, so my friends have appropriated this space for our random group of insanity, "Screamalot". One of my friends broke his leg, so we had to move to the floor where he was supposed to stay, and his locker was right outside of the Math Department, which resulted in lots of angry teachers.

No fair!

My school starts at seven. And yes, I did better in middle school when I arrived at eight like my sister..

7:05 - 14:25 for me.
