they are called parents, and are very useful. the only things i knew for the first 3 years were how to order ice cream and my numbers up to nine (never quite made it to 10).

Oh. I know Mandarin, not Cantonese...

Cantonese is a lot harder. A lot more clauses and strings attached.

But Chinese is still one of the hardest languages. You have to write a single character in a specific way.

i know its harder but its the one my family speak. their mandarin is only as good as their english so there would be no point in me learning that.
