Yeah I agree. After a while, it would get pretty tiresome. I mean, I am sad the series is coming to a close, but all things do in time.

JK did say that she might write another book in the Harry Potter universe if she felt like it, but didn't want to write another HP book.

I don't blame her. Let the series end properly, if we pressure her for a eigth book, then garunteed, it won't be very good.

Nothing she writes will ever compare to Harry Potter.

We'll be expecting her to write something just as amazing and then we'll be so disappointed when she doesn't.

Why? Harry Potter was an idea she thought up on the train. Now she's free of it. She can buy her own train and ride it all day.

She'll think of another great topic. I have faith in her. She's such a good author, she can probably pull anything off.

I like authors keeping their integrity, sticking with their decisions and exploring new fields. If she's wrapping it up, she's wrapping it up. We all saw how things went with Star Wars, the Matrix and Bridget Jones 2.

It's not a pretty sight people.

Regardless of what she writes next, I'll buy it and devour it. I hope it's great. We'll see. It'll probably be three-four years at LEAST. The pressure on her to finish HP as quickly as she did has been enormous.

J.K. Rowling is a billionaire, or close enough to it. She doesn't need to write anything for the rest of her life. When she's ninety she'll be getting huge Harry Potter royalty checks bigger than those of authors who just put out a new book.
