Well, it's a couple of days early, but I hold in my hands at this moment a published copy of the Ring of Solomon! Amazon pre-ordered a little while ago.
Anybody else got their copies yet (proof copies aside)?

There's a map that definitely wasn't in the proof, and there's also a list of characters and some notes on magic and different types of djinn which may or may not have been in the proof (I don't remember, and it's at home at the moment).

I haven't got my hands on a published copy yet, but the Waterstones people know I'm coming on Sunday to get one. :P

The notes on magic, djinn and a character list were all in the proof copy I received. I'm excited about this map, though. =D
Bartimaeus: It won't be the only mad thing about if you let this lot go. Check out that one at the end. He's taken the form of a footstool. Weird...but somehow I like his style.

just ordered my copy off amazon. problem is I've already wasted tons of money this month and i still need to buy fable3 at the end of it. grrr...oh, well, I'm still excited. *jumps up and down* :D

and there is a bad side about getting the book first. Now i have to wait a couple of months before we all start expressing opinions and talking about it properly because I'm betting most of the forum is from the us. ^_^

Y'all can form a separate topic and put spoiler warnings all over it so the rest of us don't go there inadvertently.
I don't see any reason why getting a book like RoS first should ever be described as "bad side".
