Regrets about the trilogy

General Discussion
Romance.
The books needed more. I mean, all our ships are running on the fumes of canon, both j/j and n/k have very little material actually from the book that they base themselves on.

I mean, poor Nat! he died without ever kissing a girl. there were a couple parts near the end of Ptolemy's Gate when I thought a kiss from Kitty would have been appropriate.

Romance wasn't really the basis of the trilogy y'know.

If you want romance, go to the romance section of the library.

Romance and happily ever afters would have destroyed the slighty dark theme.

You should see the Harry Potter fandom sometime...

I agree.
I already hate Book 7.

I disagree about the romance.

After all, Stroud didn't write the trilogy for hormonal teenage girls.

The romance has plenty of space in the fanfiction.

I've never heard of that quote, source?

Fanfiction is quite...I personally don't like it. At least, most of the time.

Eh? Wasn't it in Mwamba's sig a while ago? Something like "I went to the interview, It was at the moment, you know? I saw this wall of shipper faces staring at me. I never knew there was a teeming underworld beneath my feet."

I think so...but I'm not sure. I was actually adressing Mwamba.

Oh. It was in an interview with Emerson and Melissa, but that was a long time ago, pre-HBP.

JKR: Yes. Well, you see, I'm a relative newcomer to the world of shipping, because for a long time, I didn't go on the net and look up Harry Potter. A long time. Occasionally I had to, because there were weird news stories or something that I would have to go and check, because I was supposed to have said something I hadn't said. I had never gone and looked at fan sites, and then one day I did and oh - my - god. Five hours later or something, I get up from the computer shaking slightly [All laugh]. "What is going on?" And it was during that first mammoth session that I met the shippers, and it was a most extraordinary thing. I had no idea there was this huge underworld seething beneath me.

Oh..yes. I remember reading that interview.

I'm insanely jealous of both of them.
