I voted 9.5 .... it was my second favorite book (after Ptolemy's Gate ) ...
Oh I haven't rated it yet. Oh well, 9.5 like mostly everybody else here. Also because it's the book that started it all. :D

Golem's Eye seems to be the underdog book. Why, I ask yall?
"Give me back my face!" "Look at that sunset. Like blood and melted cheese."

This was my favorite one of the three followed by PG with GE huffing and puffing to keep
up. Wow run-on sentence...

A language like German is much better. It actually sticks to the rules. None of the randomness inherent in English.
Ja, ich stimme mit dir! Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch. Ich denke, dass Deutsch der Hammer ist! =D Oh, but the noun genders are a right pain in the #%$. Anyways! I find the English language to be hilarious, mainly due to my best friend, Angie. She always manages to muddle her sentences up so they turn out sounding completely ridiculous, and it's always a mistake. I think the best one was when we were talking about a certain male gynecologist, and Angie says: "Hey! He's the one who gave birth to me!" And the laughter ensued. Of course, she'd meant to say that he'd been the one who delivered her. Poor Angie. =P

Oh, and I gave Amulet a 9. It took me longer to read the book than I thought it would. But with each book in the trilogy, it only got better and better, in my opinion.
"Look at that sunset!" it sighed, as if to itself. "Like blood and melted cheese."

That was funny. :D
Yeah, I deal with such people daily. People trying to speak a language they don't know well & end up making a big mess & conveying a very different meaning, thus confusing everyone else. But you should give them credit. At least they try.
This happened 8-10 years ago. My friend's cousin had come for a vacation here from the US. She was a friendly girl but we had a slight difficulty in understanding each other's accent. It was alright till I asked her "where were you born?" She suddenly turned hostile & glared at me & asked me why I was asking her this. I was like,"Er, I was just wondering whether you were born in India or the US. It's okay, I don't want to know". And then suddenly her face clears up & she starts laughing. She says,"Oh, you are asking me 'where were you born'. I thought you were asking me 'why were you born' ".

Yeah, same with me. I can't ever give anything a ten (or zero for that matter), don't know why. BT comes pretty darned close though. :P

Welcome!

Mindi Jackson , I think I'm in love. Now I just need to get famous.
Gave it a 10 out of 10, because it was awesome. I ♥ the whole Trilogy, so I'd give all the books a 10.

I feel uncomfortable giving anything but a masterpiece like the beach or hitch-hikers guide a ten
