R.I.P Steve Irwin.

It was a sad day on September 4th, September 3rd for Americans. When Steve Irwin died from a sting ray attack while doing a documentary. I do not know the full details but I do believe the sting rays tail pierced his chest and killed him as some people have said, this may not be true but it is true that the great Crocodile hunter may Rest In Peace.

Crikey-Steve Irwin, RIP. :love1:

I didn't watch his show, but he was a really nice guy. He was like invincible. But he did take a lot of risks for no reason.

Edit: It pierced his heart.

I know...and his kids are so young. He was too young to die.

Poor Steve Irwin. I have a lot of friends who liked him. Sent me a whole bunch of emails about him. My knowledge of him goes as far as when he was on all newspaper for bringing his kid near a croc or something, but that's all I know. I do know he was a nice guy though.

I have fond memories of watching his shows in Geography lessons years ago.

Incidently, what a way to go. After all these years wrestling crocodiles and waving poisonous snakes around, he's the first person to be killed by a stingray since 1945.

He was so cool! It's ironic, he's the crocodile hunter, and a stingray got him instead. May he R.I.P. How old was he when he died anyway?
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

Born 1962 IIRC, so that makes him 44.

He died the day after Father's Day, and he was in a mag with his daughter. His family will really miss, he was so close to them.

It's a shock.

bah...filtered....anyway. According to the Daily Mail (british paper, not overly accurate) he was offered a state funeral but is being burried at his zoo.

Yes, his family turned down the state funeral. His father said he was "just an ordinary bloke".

Last weekend I was away on a tall ship until Tues., and when my mom told me I was like, "What!" There were 2 freak accidents that day, when the US idiot pilots shot at the Canadian ground troops because they're complete idiots, and Steve Irwin dying. It's so sad.

BTW, Senty, you got to watch it in geo? Lucky. I have to make Canada out of blue jello and I don't get to eat it after. :(

Oh yeah. It was a few years ago now, but we had this awesome teacher who gave us easy work in half his lessons and showed us Irwin videos in the rest. It was great.
