certain people(politicians and authors come to mind)believe that heroic deaths are a great thing. .... (ti's in someone's siggy, i can't remember the whole thing)
"I'm in love with a fairytale
Even though it hurts..." - Alexander Rybak

"Its my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive..." - Bon Jovi

"To [heck] with politics."

"Oh, god." someone whispered, "it's a musical."

" According to some, 2 Generally those who don't have to do it. Politicians and writers spring to mind. heroic deaths are admirable things. I've never been convinced by this argument, mainly because, however manly, or defi- ant you are, at the end of the day you're also dead. Which is a little too permanent for my liking."

where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry

My sig's, for one, also:

(Faquarl) "Look at me now- what do you see?"

(Barti) "A murderous maniac in human form? A hideous amalgam of the worst of man and djinn? Erm- I'm going out on a limb here- a former foe looking at me with unexpected pity and good fellowship?

"Wow! Kitty, you're so beautiful!"
"Only now?"
"It included a legion of afrits and a motley group of higher djinn, of which surely the most notable was... no, modesty prevents me continuing."

I don't know if you would classify this as a quote, but this was probably my favorite couple lines in the books:

"...I wanted to wake you straightaway, but I knew I had to wait several hours to ensure you were safely recovered"
"What! How long has it been?"
"Five minutes, I got bored"

This is one of Bart's mental footnotes toward the end-
"Well, you try giving yourself a rude hand gesture. See, it just doesn't work does it?"

Another-
Bart(footnote)- "I first encountered Naeryan in Africa during the Scipio campaigns. Her favorite manifestation was as a lissom belly dancer, who would lure-"
Nat: "Will you stop doing that? I'm trying to concentrate."

I used that as an analogy when I was asked if I were dating my guy best friend.

Funnily enough, the person who asked me thought I'd made it up myself.

I corrected them, of course. So they read Bartimaeus.

Bartimaeus is so witty, I wonder how long it takes to write his quotes.

Their daring, nerve and chivalry

Mine as well.

He founded the humour quite funny, but wondered why I liked it.

Mine did.

Because he heard about it for hours.

Oh. Well, at least it was subtle. :mwamba:
But yes, it's hard not to tell the endings.
