Yeah but is life is long. When life is longer, more heartbrakes. But in the book he was not very sad about her! He was sader about Ptolemy´s death than her death. You could say Bart was in love with Ptolemy. No just a joke! Demons have not much feelings for each other. Queezly was nothing but a good old friend.

I support that ship. Question: What animal forms did Queezle appear in? I kind of remember vaguely a leopard or jaguar. Just in case I feel like drawing her.

The one I was thinking of drawing was before the golem attacks the museum, where Queezle and Bartimaeus are sitting under the statue. Queezle was a cocker spaniel and Bart was a gray cat. (I can't draw worth beans, so if you can, please take the idea). I think she also was (and I quote) "a girl of unusual beauty". Interesting choice of words, eh?

I'd say they were just very good friends, (Barti and Queez) I know in the first book he mentioned that two djinn fell in love and one of them was charged to kill the other and the djinn ripped in half trying to disobay his charge, so that their relationships nowadays were temporary to avoid that sort of thing happening. Besides maybe the "girl of unusual beauty" thing was just an observation. It's as if a girl says "Wow, that other girl is pretty." (and she's straight) Anyway, it never specifies whether or not demons have to breed or even HOW if they do have to. Maybe I should ask the author.

i know what you mean the same thing happaned to me. i mean i kept wondering. i think she died though because although bartu and queezle werelevel on power, barti had that extra x factor. and he only just made it.

Her master is "OHGAWD" and orders her to defend him, so she misinterprites it, locks him in a coffin and is like "Ohhhhhh smooth".

Then he dismisses her to get out.

And she's all dismissed and stuff.

Yes, but Ptolemy took "the first big step" and extended the hand of friendship and stuff. And then he released Barti before his death.

Queezle's just another djinni who he may have to fight in the future. He wouldn't have allowed any "bond of love" to develop.
