I've only just finished Book 1 and have begun Book 2. I am loving them so far. Thanks for writing them. I was wondering if a Pronunciation Guide might be made available on your website. Some of the names are curiously spelled and I'd like to know the way you intended for them to be pronounced before I get stuck in my own version.

Thanks for your comment. That's a good idea. You're right that the pronunciation of a lot of the words (not least Bartimaeus) is tricky; in fact one of the dangers about doing a guide is that I'm only guessing on the pronunciation myself. When the US audios were done, I talked with the director about all the ancient cities/places/names etc and came to a view, but often we had to guess. Utukku, for example...; I've never actually heard anyone use that word, oddly enough.

Of course I've been slow replying, so you may have finished the books by now, but it's a fine plan and I'll look into it.
