My travel form would either be an eagle or a condor for leisure speed, or a peregrine falcon for speed.

Reapers are pretty good for short-distance travel, but not long-distance.

For that, I would probably use this.

Good god that's the creepiest thing I've seen all week...
I hesitate to ssay all month, I've seen some scary stuff.
That's scarier than most of it, though.

A bear headed man with scropians tail, hands of scale ending in long claws and the wings of a wedgetailed eagle, I would also smell vaugley of blood and offul.
