In an attempt to annihilate the bots, there is a new Usergroup: Apprentices.

Once the user registers, they will be placed into that group. That group cannot create new threads, hence the bots get a little stuck.

Once they've made a new post, they should be automatically promoted to the normal magicians usergroup.

However, due to problems with the coding of IPB1.3, all of you are currently in the Apprentices usergroup. This means you cannot create a new thread until you make a post as a reply. Once you've done that you should be promoted back to Magicians, and everything should be normal.

Any problems PM Sentynel or me. We will be monitoring what goes on.

Clever idea

If you can't be bothered to find a thread to post in then click here and add a post.

No we aren't. New users can post new threads in the Ask the Author and Introductions forums.
See, we've thought of that.

So, If the Bot posts in those forums? Not that I know alot about bots.

Was this warranted? I mean, have Bots actually spammed something?

*shrug* If they happen to pick those forums, we deal with them the same way we've been dealing with every bot that turns up.

They've generally posted in Off-Topic and General Discussion.

We've been trashing threads that have been appearing so you might not have seen any. Plus we have to go through the hassel of banning each one etc.
