New reads ? Help !

Book Discussion
 Help ! New reads ?! The last time I read a book was when the Hollow Boy came out. I'm a bookworm and I've been bookless for months, with nothing GOOD to read!!! And before you say it I've already read Lockwood and co, Bartimues books, the Dagger in the desk, and The Barti prequel. I've been spoiled by Stroud' s so good novels that now I'm so picky when it comes to picking books. Does anyone know any books like the Bart or Lock series (besides Harry Potter) ? Help !

I recommend a few books for you guys to try too maybe :

Lockwood & co series
Artemis Fowl series
Dead City Omega series
The Theodosia series by R.L LaFEVERS
The Enola Holmes series
" Prettiness isn't my profession "
Same here!!!
Try The School for Good and Evil. I'm not sure how old you all are, but I thought it was really awesome.

I won't say my age, but I am a teenager looking for middle grade /YA books. I am a little bit sci -fi, fantasy crazed when it comes to books.

Hm I don't know about YA but I reccomend Good Omens by Terry Prattchet and Neil Garman. It's really fun, if a bit strange at the start.

You can try Lord of the Rings, too. It's hard to start, but it is really interesting once you've gotten into it. That's what I'm reading now(forcing myself to), after my sister threatened to lock up the Lockwood and Co. books if she saw me reading them again :$ They belong to her, so she can technically do that. :ermm: I did find a way around it; I'm reading the Screaming Staircase to my brother now :D

If you want a lenghty project you can also read Rick Riordan's demigod collection, starting with Percy Jackson, onto Heroes of Olympus, The Kane Chronicles, Magnus Chase, and finishing with The Trials of Apollo. Those are all series of like five books each except the last two.

Oh, yes, the Rick Riordan fandom will keep you busy for a loooong time. That and LOTR is keeping me distracted (sort of) until The Creeping Shadow comes out.
Have you read them all, evillaugh?

From the RR fandom? All but the last, it's still too new (and expensive) to find on the net. From LotR, only the first book and The Hobbit. You?

Other books would be The Name of the Wind and it's sequel by Patrick Rothfuss. It's a real brick and you won't unerstand anything until at least chapter ten, but it's well worth it.

I've read all of them except for the second two books of the Kane Chronicles. Who're your favorite characters? :) Mine would be Leo, Nico, Reyna, and Jason.
As of LOTR, I read the first book a year ago, but I'm reading it again cause it's so complicated for me. I haven't read the Hobbit (add that to my loooong reading list!), but I watched the first movie, and the first movie of LOTR too. Sigh....I've got a lot to catch up on.
Hmmm..sounds interesting! I'll check them out.

Hmm. I'd have to go with Annabeth, Nico, Hazel, Magnus, and Leo.

As for movies, I actually started with The Hobbit because the movies sounded awesome and ended up reading the book and not seeing the movies :p
Due to lazyness, brokeness, and reading speed, my to-read list consists mainly of fanfiction.

Oh, yes, Magnus!! I like him a lot better than Percy; he's so much more relatable. For that series, my favorite character would be Hearth. I love how RR portrayed a deaf character;he's so much more interesting than the ones in those super-sad movies. Next would be Samirah, cause being Muslim, I really relate to her. And tied with her is Magnus.
Haha! I haven't read much fanfiction, but my sister does.
