Right next to the standard edit button, allows you to edit posts without disappearing off through half a dozen pages.

It doesn't have italics or fonts or smiles and forces us to wait about 30 second of nothing. Pity the people with dial up conections.

You are using dial up?

It does contain italics etc., because its a quick edit, just to adjust spelling mistakes etc.

It's the same as the fast reply box. If you want smileys :) or italics or whatever, just put the BBcode in manually.
Nothing to stop you carrying on using the full edit page if you want.
