New Bart books?

Answered Questions
Dear Mr. Stroud,

I'm sure you must have heard this question quite a few times over, but I just wanted to add my voice to the crowd and hope for a reply! I first read the original Bartimaeus Trilogy four or so years ago and absolutely fell in love with Bartimaeus and crew. I have The Ring of Solomon sitting on my shelf simply waiting to be read, but I can't bring myself to do so until I know- are there any more Bartimaeus books in the works? Either another tale recounting Bart's exploits, or a continuation of Nathaniel & Kitty's story, or really, just anything new relating to Bartimaeus. I don't think I could possibly begin reading The Ring of Solomon until I know with certainty whether or not I can eagerly await another Bartimaeus novel after I finish this one!

I'm also curious what happens next. At the end of the trilogy, things are left in a heap of rubble... in some cases, literally. There's no government, a war with America was still going on, there were invasions by foreign spies, and the climate between commoners and Magicians had escalated quite dramatically. Not to mention, between magicians and spirits. Will there be change? What about Kitty? How will her life be effected now that she's been to the Other Place? What about Nat? Did he live? Did he die? Will Bartimaeus be summoned again? If so, for what purpose? I'm really curious, is all I'm saying.
Hi guys.

Amy - thanks for your original question. My current thought is that there will be another Bart book, though I've got some other projects to work on first. It'll certainly feature Bart of course, but precisely WHERE in his long career, I'm not currently sure. I'll need to work on it for a while to see whether my current ideas bear fruit.

ArdentTie - I don't think we NEED to find all the answers to those questions, but that's not to say I haven't pondered them! It's possible we'll find out some of the answers eventually, but only if I can make it work without undercutting the end of PG. Sorry to be a bit vague!
Haha, I like that some points are left vague...it gives me space to imagine what could have happened or what might happen. For example, I like to think of Nathaniel as having survived :D

Yeah, I'd just love it if Nathaniel had survived... every time I start reading PG all over again, I suddenly stop, skip to the end and once again read about Nat's death. Every time it hurts as much as it did the first time I read the book.

I hope he survived, because i hope Stroud will make more books about Kitty, Nathaniel and Bartimaeus because the books was so good!

Even after 6 years, whenever I reread the books, I feel a pang of sadness going through nat's death and then realising that there are no other books featuring barti :(
Please release new barti books!
I read these books ten years ago. :P Just finished re-reading them now. A fifth Bartimaeus book would be most welcome.I am in such desperate straits now that I'm planning to read the series again. I'm sure this is true of a lot of readers lol. So no pressure, obviously .:P
Let's hope he'll someday make a new book on bart's adventures, he said he would after a couple projects, but that's 7 years ago. i hope he'll live up to it
1. I definitely think that another Bart book is wanted, if not necessary.
2. He is always talking about his time in Ur and with the Native American Shamans, so books about these would be interesting.
3. Having a book about the times when he was first summoned, in the land of Sumer (pardon my spelling), would give great background to the other books.
4. His name, Bartimeus of Uruk, implies a relevant summoning in Uruk, so a book from this time would be valuable.
5. Having a book about his time with Ptolemy might be excesive, what with the chapters in Ptolemy's Gate, however a book of short stories including from his time with Ptolemy might be better. This book could also include stories from after when Ptolemy's Gate took place.
6. Relating Bartimeus's story to the Mythology of the Huns (explained in an amazing book entitled The White Stag ) would be very interesting, as would conecting this with the Jewish bible (תנ׳׳ך), specifically with the descendant of Noah, Nimrod, also mentioned in The White Stag.
7. I do not expect you to write all of these books, however having some of them would be great.
