Narnia discussion anyone?

We never had a Narnia thread? WTF?

Anyway I liked these books, but I haven't read them in a while. My favourites were The Horse and His Boy and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Well, I hated the new movie. Stupid, underdeveloped, lame, not needed romance.

Love the books.

Me too, but the christian undertones went RIGHT over my head.

Despite actually being Christian, when I first read them I had no idea they were supposed to be an allegory. Someone had to point it out to me. :$

My dad took my brother and sister to see the movie today. I decided not to go.

The movie is evil. *pout* The first film was quite good, but then thye had to go and spoil it.

I love these books.

I didn't really like some of the books....strangely felt boring.

But the first movie was really good.

Well, the Horse and his Boy was boring..

Nah that was one of the good ones.

I liked it. I really liked the one horse, was Bree his name? It was a nice change because it had less to do with the storyline and characters of the other books.

Yes, it was different, but then if it didn't break from the original four, it would have exhausted the use of Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy.

There was no reason for it to exist; the story was pretty much completely separate from all the other books (and it was awful).

It was a spinoff.

Spinoffs shouldn't be an official part of the series they span off though.

Um, I think the point of it was to establish Calormen or whatever it's called, because it's important in the last book, if I remember correctly.

They went to Calormen in VotD didn't they? That was enough to establish it.
