I don't get why you feel sad for these people... it's not like they'd mourn if you commited suicide tommorow. Celebrities tend to be egomaniacs anymay.

To be fair, they also wouldn't stalk us with cameras every time we leave the house or criticize our fashion sense or weight gain/loss or who we're dating.

But the stans who suddenly believe w/out a doubt that he's innocent, although 2 months ago they wanted a policce search on his house, they are ridonk.

They would have wanted it, to begin with atleast. They wanted to be rich and famous, and succeeded!

All those 'Life and Times' shows, all the tabloids, all allow us to attempt to live their lives vicariously. All the mourning when they die and remind us of human mortality. All those failed marriages and sexual predators who show what happens when you give sexuality too much opportunity.

I admire none of it.

12 people committed suicide because MJ died!? What's happening?

Obviously you have not felt the effect of MJ in his prime.
Still, there is no reason to commit suicide just because he died. I have a lot of role-models too (if that's the word), but I am not foolish enough to take any drastic step if something happens to them.

I think it's more schadenfreude than that. No one identifies with Britney when she leaves the house without underwear or assaults the paps. We're following Jon and Kate's messy, public divorce because it's entertaining and in cases like MJ, the baby boomers who were actually around when he was big get to relive their fangirly days and because everyone loves a good tragedy, the world can publicly mourn.

Although, as a tabloid addict, i'm hideously biased.

*snicker*

Unfortunately that scene is one of the most overdone things on Youtube. It must be a pain to the population of the internet that understands German.

I don't like it all because it's petty. It showcases a herd mentality. Whether you love their fame, looks or misfortune, its still vicarious thrillseeking.

And THANK YOU Sentynel for saving my brain from the horrors of bad language.

Some people don't have much of a life. That's the essence of it really.

Sorry about the pic on the last page, it was supposed to be of Billy Mays with the words: Celebrities die in threes but trust Billy Mays to throw in a fourth at no extra cost.

I heard a good one from my dad -
D'ya hear how they're making Michael Jackson into grocery bags?
That way he can still be plastic, white, and dangerous to kids.
^.^
Sad thing is, I kind of liked the guy.

That was such a terrifying and long game, I thought Mirka was going to start contractions whenever then showed her on the screen. Also, I love how at the end the crowd was chanting Roddick.

But that condescending speech reminded me why Ican never love Federer. Did you hear it? He was like "It's ok, you won 5 times, we can't all be winners". And he was wearing his 15 jacket =[ Besides he only won because Andy flooping 'ecked up

Ok, he is not always very humble, but he is humble for a person who has won 15 grand slams. And there is a lot of rivalry in tennis; many are known to be far more ruder. And Federer's speech may be slightly condescending, but never his actions.
Some games ought to have 2 winners. Cause Roddick completely deserved to win too-I guess everyone was sorry for him.
3 of my friends called me up just after the match (it was after 11pm) to congratulate me on Federer's win (they do weird stuffs like that). But I am very happy- I gave a long speech on Federer in college on Friday saying he is on the brink of creating history & stuff like that & I am glad it has come true.
Leander lost. That dampened my euphoria a little, but it's okay. He usually always wins.
