Creative were the first people to make a good mp3 player, which was the same as the first ipod becuase apple copied that, including the software on the ipod. So apple were the first people to copy and i can't think of a different way to have it, "lets remove the screen so its not like an ipod", "lets remove the buttons so its not like an ipod", lets make it a ball so its not like an ipod" etc etc they wouldn't work if you didn't have them.

@Abel - If a zen would be "way better" than a zune and a zune is a copy with slight changes of an ipod, then surely the zen is better than an ipod too.

the changes ARE NOT GOOD and the zune doesnt look as nice :P

The Zune is thick, yes, but it holds 30 times more then any ipod ever could. The ipod holds 1, maybe 2 GB, including upgrades. The Zune holds 30GB. That's 30 MILLION bytes, mind you. It can hold over 100 videos, 1,00 songs, and god knows how many pictures. currently I have 15 songs and 2 pictures and I've only used .23GB. I can change the background picture if I want, I can get European, Japanese, and American radio stations.

And there's no Microsoft logo on it anywhere. Although it is made by Microsoft.

Actually there's an 80 GB iPod.

Yes, I was going to point out, in the interest of fairness, that there are iPods and Zens available with capacity bigger than that.

It would be the best one on the market if:
it didn't tie you into iTunes for all your music
iTunes wasn't such a buggy mess of a program
the iPod firmware itself wasn't such a buggy mess
it was less stupidly expensive
the sound quality was better, particularly the bass, and the equaliser software didn't make that worse
the batteries didn't die so quickly and could be replaced
the iPod was more durable and didn't need so much repairing

The Zune is durable, longlasting, and can pick up radio stations from Europe and Japan :D. I can change my background picture, too. :D

I don't really like any of the IPods just 'cause they're too thin and not durable enough.

what do you mean by that? U might find them too thin but thin is what most people want and they are VERY durable.

I've lost track of the no. of times I dropped my Nano...must've been more than 6. Still working fine.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Abel: a single example of a Nano surviving abuse is not a valid statistical example. This study, however, is: "iPod owners are twice as likely to ask for a repair, than owners of other brands".

I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.
