Thanks in advance for answering, whenever that is(I understand that you are very busy). I am a huge fan of your books. However, I am fairly new to this site
, so-despite the fact a I did use the search engine to briefly check if my main questions have been previously been asked, I may have missed something and repeat someone's previous question. Sorry in advance. Thank you for your patience.
So now...
1) you said that a first summon is when a spirit1 is first defined. So, since they have no experience with things such as shape-shifting at that time, obviously, will their appearance on the first plane during said summon reflect their true, unchanging 7th plane form?
2a) in one of the books (don't remember which) lenses are said to use lesser spirits because stronger ones break the glass. Is that why Solomon's ring has obsidian on it? Was that the most spirit resistant material the magician(s) who formed the ring had immediately on hand and/or the cheapest required to contain Uraziel?
2b) if the above is true, is obsidian the most spirit resistant material on earth? If not, what is? Where would obsidian rank in most spirit resistant materials then?
3a) since OP is made of essence, essence is the core of magic (or so I assume), and resilience guards against magic, was Kitty's aging and wrinkling in PG mitigated at all( I assume it didn't help her with the whole body desynchronization thing)?
3B) following this train of thought, since the pain the RoS causes is magical in nature, does resilience make it easier to wear the ring, if not actually use it? if so, would someone with a lot of vigor to power the wishes and resilience to mitigate the pain of wearing it2 , would they be able to use it with near impunity?
4) Adelbrand seems to be a intelligent magician, making his own glorified pentacle. So I thought he would know how to bind a spirit with multiple/semi-permanent tasks without said pentacle3 ? So did he research and create the Adelbrand pentacle just for the fun of it, or what?
5a) How quickly does a spirit's essence decay in confinement? i know it is lengthened from what Bart said in the RoS, but I am wondering by how much?
5b) for example, if the Ring survived to Nat's day, roughly 4000 years in the future, would Uraziel's power be noticeable reduced over what it was in the events in the RoS?
6a) again continuing the line of thought in 3a, if resilinence is built from being surrounded in magic, using PG must speed up the build up of resilience, since you basically swim in it. so is it possible to create a 'super'human by have one family have each of the children enter the PG to build up resilience, generation after generation.
6b) How strong can resilience get, if their is a limit? For example, can someone-perhaps using the method above-have such resilience as to withstand a direct strike by Uraziel(the strongest spirit introduced so far)?
7) in the RoS, ward such as the systematic vise and such are explained to be incantations that reflect a spirit's power back to him/her4 . As such, is any punishment possible to use against a spirit such as the lesser frilled green hornetwing mite, discovered by the Illustrious5 John Mandrake (lol). I imagine his/her's6 spiritual power is to weak for even the weakest of wards.
8) If Lovelace didn't attempt his coup from the AoS (maybe the amulet wasn't recovered in time), he probably would have joined in on Makepeace's coup in PG. Do you think he would be so cocky as to summon Ramuthra into him, similar to Makepeace summoning Nouda?
9) Where the shadows the attacked the mercenary at the end PG individual demons, or a unique ability of one strrong demon? if it's the former, what level and type are they?
10) How much of a magician's chanting is required to pull a high level spirit compared to containing their power? For example, if nat had as good relations with Bart as ptolemy, could he summon him with the same chant he used for the imp he put in the scrying glass, since he didn't have to worry about bart taking advantage of weaknesses in the barrier? or is a longer, more complex chant required to pull the larger amount of essence through the elemental wall?
