Magical Items & Essence Regeneration

General Discussion
*Hello*

1. 'What does it 'cost' a Magician to bind a demon into an object and make a Magical Item?'
We know magicians must expend some of their energy, and some times their life force, whenever they want to make demons do anything. And when a magician summons a demon, the magician suffers from a constant taxing of their stamina until that demon is dismissed. So, when a magician makes a magical item do they just spend some of their stamina like normal? Or do they suffer a permanent drain on their stamina/life force?

2. 'Why don't magicians just make a bajillion magical items?'
If its fairly easy to make a magical item, or even if its hard, then why don't magicians make a ton of items for themselves? I'm not talking Mouler Glass or Detonation Sticks. I'm refereeing to Amulets, Talismans, even those possessed mannequins Sholto had, i.e. the good stuff. All the magicians seem to be obsessed with magical items. The whole trilogy revolves around powerful magical items. So, why don't the magicians just Make some for themselves?

All it takes to make a magical item is to summon a demon and then trap it into the item, right? So, why not just keep doing that over and over again? Summon a djinni, trap it into an amulet or some boots. Catch your breathe, get some lunch, and then summon another demon and bind it into another object. Take a day off, then bind another demon to an item. Next thing you know, you have a million protective charms and magical weapons at your disposal.
A). Or why not trap Multiple demons to a single item? That way, even low lever magicians can just trap a million imps into a single item and their combined power would river that of items like the Amulet of Samarkand.
B). Even if making magical items is fatal (for the one doing the work), then why not just do what they did in Golem's Eye? Force some poor sap to do it for you.
I mean, look at that Deavurex guy. He 'has' an afrit because he made other people summon if for him. Why not just bind that afrit to an item, make his people summon him Another afrit, and do that over and over?

3. 'How do demons regenerate their essence?'
Bartimaeus always complained about needing to go back to the Other Place to get his essence back, but is that all their is to it? I mean, many demons are enslaved for many decades without going back 'home', yet they don't just eventually wither away, do they?
When Bartimaeus would fight, he would usually only be able to throw out a few Detonations and offensive spells at a time because it taxed his essence so much. But later on, he would get his strength back and be able to cast more spells. It seems that if demons are given some time to rest and catch their breath, then they get some of their essence back. Is this accurate? What are your thoughts?

4. 'How does the essence of demons trapped into magical items 'work'?'
If demons suffer and lose some essence from being in our reality, and demons trapped into magical items are Never allowed to go back to the Other Place, then what happens to those trapped demons? Do they just eventually run out of power and die? But then how do magical items that are centuries old still function? Do the magical items weaken over time as the trapped demon slowly loses it's essence? Does this mean that in 1,000 years Gladstone's Staff would be nothing more than a large, cumbersome lighter?

*Thx*
