Krim's Question

1. What is your favorite type of mythology? I'm rather partial to Goetic demonology myself, and hopefully my copy of The Lesser Key of Solomon isn't uncovered from its sanctuary underneath my mattress. It's for...writing purposes... [edit: Since this question has been asked, I have moved, and my stepfather and his friends disassembled my bed and found my little demon summoning treasure. I just thought you'd like to know that vital tidbit of information.]

2. When did you first choose to pursue a literary career?

3. For the sake of the roleplaying board, would you do me a favor and state the relative power of those zeldas and themagents and whatnot? Such as: Stronger than a djinn, weaker than an afrit, etcetra? You mentioned there are far too many to list systematically, but can we get a general level, if you don't mind?

The three ships. Kinda like the Mayflower and all those.
Hi Krim,

Sorry to hear you've lost your copy of the Key of Solomon. I keep mine in a plastic bag in the toilet cistern. Hmm, favourite mythology. When I was young I was rather into the Greeks, with all their fine variety of monsters and lusty gods. Then I grew partial to the Norse variety, much more doom-laden and full of great humour (Thor dressing up as the giant's bride was a good one...). It fluctuates, but I'm in a Scandinavian mood at the moment...

I suppose I began to think about making a career of writing in the mid-90s, when I'd begun to publish youngish children's puzzle-books and was working on Buried Fire. It took until 2001 for me to finally give up my full-time job and go all out for the writing, though.

Demonic sub-types: both of those mentioned are variants of djinn, slightly less powerful than Bart (who's mid-range within the djinn spectrum). A thermagent is probably the more zestful of the two.

Cheers,

J

Didn't lose it. Explained it was used for writing purposes.

Norse = the bomb

Thanks for the answers.
