Dear All,

When I introduced myself, someone asked me whether I could perceive his/her envy emanating from the screen*. I am afraid this message may trigger some more envy**, nevertheless I decided to share some of the pictures I took in Mantua with you.

I do not know how to add images to posts in this forum, therefore I will just give you links to another site.

The first picture:

Shows Jonathan Stroud wearing a pirate hat. He wore it as he spoke about "Treasure Island".

This is a drawing he made during a speech. Incidentally, he makes lovely drawings, I wish they would issue a special edition of the Trilogy with his illustrations... This is the stereotypical image of a wizard, which he destroyed in Bartimaeus.

Picture 3:

This is Nathaniel's first summoning of Barti.

Pictures 4 & 5:

You may recognize one of the two guys in these. If you're very smart, you might imagine who the other one is.

These are my copies of his books. Now enriched and, to me, extremely precious.

I have more, but that should be enough for now. Plus I still have to unpack one case, be patient.

Nick

*I wrote "his/her" because I don't remember if it was a guy or a girl. I'm not suggesting that this person is a hermaphrodite.

**But I will gladly run the risk.

Thanks for posting these! Stroud's not bad at drawing, though I suspect Bartimaeus wouldn't be too thrilled of his depiction of him as angry-smoke-thing. :D
This is my signature. Why yes, I am quite proud of it, thank you very much. I raised the fellow meself.
FEEL THE ENVY EMANATING FROM YOUR SCREEN.
"When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story".
IT IS INCREDIBLE.
I don't know how else to describe it. And yeah, I would treasure those wonderful copies forever too.
And, talking about envy, I would love to see Luciene's face after she sees all this xD.
