That's a definition of a word as a general part of speech in any language. I'm talking about a word in English.

Ain't is more of a Colloquial word, technically it is a word, but its not a proper English Word, you wouldn't get any points for it on Countdown.

If we all know what it means, doesnt that make it a word? Just becuase it isnt in the dictionary doesnt mean we cant use it...or that its existence can be denied.
