Most fish we eat are farmed. They're hardly swimming in their own crap, though. The farms are generally mesh cages in rivers or the sea, so it gets washed away. They are fed all sorts of nasty stuff like colourings and growth hormones, though.

Most chickens we eat have been selectively bred so they have as much meat as possible. Sometimes they're so heavy their own legs break under the weight. Growth hormones and so on are also used.

It's disgusting and it tortures the animals. My math teacher last year said the he drives all the way to Toronto to get his food and stuff at an organic store. He didn't trust local stores.

Yeah, organic food stores are the way to go. You can trust them more. Although, where I live, they're starting to come out with organic stuff now. It's labled and everything.

Organic is more expensive, because it takes longer to grow them naturally. Although in the end it's worth it.

Organic doesn't necessarily take longer - it just doesn't produce such big yields.
Generally much nicer, though. Case in point: Weetabix. Standard Weetabix are grey. Organic ones are nearly yellow, and taste much better.

The only thing that's not good organic is hot chocolate mix.

Er...right.

How did we get on this topic, guys?

I suppose I could read back...

I'd go to any world that'd give me an adventure.

(About the mercury thing)
Sharks are apex predators so they'll have more mercury...right?
I don't know. This marine biologist-y guy said that.
But oh well. :yesmaster:
