Somehow I missed the Treasure Planet one IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL.

Guess who made some basic forms character sheets! Considering they're spirits, expect some variation in the future (particularly with Queezle) but here we go nonetheless. I had fun with this!

Well I mean in the books she's described as taking the form of a "great beauty" during the Golem's Eye I think, during the scene with the siege of Prague. So I can see why that is. To be perfectly honest I wanted to draw her as beautiful myself, but I also wanted to go with something a bit different in approach.

Yes, and I find great beauties not to be as aestethically interesting as other people.

Well what I meant by "a different approach" was a different approach to the aesthetics of beauty. "Beauty" can mean many things, and can come in different forms, so I plan to be very liberal in the different forms I draw Queezle in. For me, "aesthetically pleasing" and "beautiful" are the same thing, so with Queezle I want to catch a sort of diversity in appearance, aesthetic, and style. I actually have a few other sheets for her in the works, which I'm excited to show at some point!

Have you played around with her design? It would be interesting to see the developement of the character as it is now.
I agree with you, although I think aesthetically interesting should be just as if not more important. Not everything interesting to draw is also aesthetically pleasing.

Oh no, the one I posted before is more of a "default form." Sort of like how Faquarl defaults to a chef, or Bartimaeus defaults to Ptolemy. So I'm not exactly playing around with this design, but I AM working on other forms I think she would take. Mostly, I'm basing them off of what I've gleaned from her past history.

For example, this particular "default form" Queezle is supposed to be Chinese, since she spent so much time there. In my drafts right now, I'm trying reflect other places she has been. Or other time periods.
