Since quite a few in the forum are yet to read it;
- [+] Spoiler
- Halli & Aud manage to escape from the mountain after the "Trows" find them & try to kill them. Halli attacks it with the claw. The "Trows" run away & the 2 reach Halli's home safely. They plan not to go there again & start to believe in the stories of the Heroes. Then Snorri comes there & tells the House that the Hakonssons plan to murder everyone in the House the next night. He says he is warning them because Halli gave him the sword. So the whole house starts to prepare for a war the next day but when the Hakonssons, who are better prepared & have superior weapons, attack they are in real danger of losing the battle. Hord, knowing he is in a better position, asks Halli to come & face him & promises not to kill the rest if Halli obeys. So Halli (with Aud following him without his knowledge), goes to Hord. But he doesn't go too near him & when Hord is all prepared to slay him, Halli runs away. Hord, his son & his men chase him. He leads them to the crag. Halli & Aud climb a huge rock(or something like that) in the dark & Hord & the rest enter the forbidden area & get killed. But atop this rock, Halli & Aud are surprised to see Halli's uncle-in the form of a ghost or something. He wants to know why Halli & Aud crossed the boundary & sounds rather menacing. Then Svein's ghost appears & a fight ensues between Halli & him as former refuses to accept Svein as his master & follow his rules. Halli manages to kill him with Aud's help & Brodir escapes (he helped Halli by giving him his sword back at a crucial time & then disappears). Years later, Halli's story is narrated to young children & from that one gathers that Halli & Aud crossed the mountains & went to live in one of the valleys.
There. I skipped a lot & JS left a lot to imagination & one can interpret it in any way one wants, but this is the "summary" you asked. I stated the story, nothing more. You can thank me =D. It took some time to recollect it all & write.
