Snape's probably gonna run away. Personally, I'm hoping that somehow, Harry has to live in his home. Why else would JKR introduce Spinner's End? And it would give me hours of amusement.

He's good, JKR's just trying to confuse you. And she never actually explained why Dumbledore trusts Snape. And don't forget, we're reading the story through Harry's PoV. And he's obviously kinda biased.
