I don't know if there's any Nix fans around, but if there are, I'm Leaf from the Hidden Kingdom.
My favourite character from the Bartimaeus series has got to be Kitty, especially in The Golem's Eye when her parents betrayed her, but I also adore Bartimaeus' witty cynicism and Nathaniel's utter naiivety.
I vlog, on youtube, under the name "TheIncredibleLilith". My favourite colour is... Wait, I can't remember!
I'm a maths student, hopefully off to Uni in September, but then again I MIGHT fail everything. I also play the violin and write quite a lot - I run the amateur writing site Creative Writing in my free time.

Can anyone tell me what this smiley is meant to be? It's really disconcerting me.

Eh, A level physics is pretty dumbed down. There are lots of mathematical proofs in real physics - for a couple of examples, take, say, the proof of electromagnetic waves from Maxwell's Equations, or anything at all in quantum (which is basically just linalg).

I think we've found the only person in the world for whom "Cardinal Fang... fetch the comfy chair!" is actually a threat.

My current boi is as much of a physics geek as I'm a maths geek, so I've picked up a lot of theoretical physics just from hanging out with him. But I'm yet to discover anything real-world based that's as downright beautiful as the proof for the Euler Relation, so I know where I'm staying.

And comfy chairs don't allow for leg room! I like to have one leg curled around myself like a cat, and maybe the other on the table so I can reach under my leg to write (I actually once found myself doing this, turns out I'd been sat like that for a while) and then my left arm is free to reach for the biscuits. How people can sit with their hands on their knees and their feet on the floor is an eternal mystery to me.

Unlike the Weeping Angels, I do have a need for comfy chairs. I hope I get mine at my year anniversary of being on bartiforums.

I have to say I've never understood the whole "beautiful proof" thing. It's just... numbers. Elegant I can see, maybe.

You just need a bigger comfy chair, then, with some decent fidget room. I find myself in all sorts of bizarre seating positions in mine.

And about seating positions, I sit all ways too. I don't like my legs on the ground too. I like putting my legs on the chair and folding them there. Like this. But with my hand not on the nose but on the mouse or keyboard. Or sometimes, folding my legs under my body.

i'm always sitting/standing in wierd positions... drives my sister nuts! half the time, i'm standing with one foot on the other leg's knee. right now, my legs are crossed on the rung of my chair. :P i'm always wierd like that!
