They are brilliant games if your an RPG fan and love in game stories. If your not really into RPG'S then you will probably hate them. Having said that, they are not typical RPG games as the have CGI cutscenes and a whole host of other strange devices. You should give them a try. FF 12 is coming out on the 23rd of February in England =]

Yeah, they have completely changed the type of story (no more soppy love stories) it is more political based this time...thats good cos there will be cool CGI scenes of intense battles. Also they have changed the fighting gameplay. No longer turn based. You can move around and see the enimies on the battle field...so no more random encounters.
I think it will be fun and the series needs a nice change.

haha i was going to say 7 like every other FF fan :P but in the end...i really can't choose out of 7, 8 and 9... those three are the best ever.

Crystal Cronicles... not sure what number it is... It and (Tales of symphonia?) are the only two I have, but I Like Crystal Cronicles.

Yeah...Advent Children was good.
Crystal Chronicles. I had that for the Gamecube. I didnt think much of it because of the strange battle system. It was like an earlier version of 12's. I wasnt a fan of the story either, but putting that aside i still think it was a good game, just not Final Fantasy enough...

Those are the only ones I ever played, so I wouldn't =know how final fantasy they are, but the movie is great! If they are close to it, then they must be good.AIONIOS

haha Advent children had all the FF 7 characters in and involved swords and magic. Spirits within was just about a futuristic world with spirits that couldnt be killed...
