I never change my mental image. I prefer my imagination. I mean what kind of old lady has spiky hair?

I know, and she seems the proper conservative to me. Spiky is just too...wild and out of place for her.

And also, she supposed to be anorexic thin. We'd have to sterch any pic we get of her.

I also imagined creepy looking long and thin fingers.

(Am I making sense?)

I kind of pictured the female character with white hair from the first Matrix movie. Doodeedoo..
I like this pic from Chanel:

The eyebrows and hair (the entire face in fact) aren't how I imagined them (channels The Gentleman from Jonathan Strange too much), but the overall look is nice for BT. Minus the white floofy thing(s).
Nothing to see here, move along.

Are you talking about Switch? 'Cause that's so true!

Wow, so many options...

But seriously, who are you going to use for the quiz? I'm confused now.

Me too, we should have a vote.

The book itself describes her as having cropped white spiked hair. I dont imagine it being that extreme, but it certanytl doesnt look out of place. And she is NOT an old woman, there is no line in the book that describes whitwell as old. As for the thin bit, i think that may be a bit of a hyperbole, she can have some substance to her. I was talking with a friend and we both think Judy Dench would be an excellent Whitwell, she is very authorative and british, and she has the style of hair that would suit the character. I cannot imagine Whitwell in a bun at all...I just get this image of the woman off "How clean is your house" who wears odd rubber gloves.

Well, I know her age is described as 'indeterminable' or something like that.

I just perfer to think of her as old (although I don't remember saying she was old)because it shows experience and power in my opinion.

The bun good versus not good? Well, let's not dispute about that. We don't need an arguement.

It's just a difference of opinion.

But there shouldnt be any difference in opinion as the book itself does not mention a bun.

Bleh, Luciene and I just think it's better. I don't know for sure if there's a bun or not, I'll have to look it up.

I'd do it right now but I'm feeling far too lazy at the moment.

I am not sure about bun or not spiky is weird as she is quite stern.

Does anyone else picture large amounts of mascara and sunken eyes?

I've always imagined a make-up free face. Much like the pic of Switch that was posted.

Whitewell, all out in makeup? She's supposed to be a simple woman. She doesn't like to be extravagant in anything, her face included.

She's a politician. She has to look ok, to appeal to the masses. She probably doesn't go all out with the make-up, but she does use some.

Maybe a little mascara and foundation, and some lip stick. (But nothing showy like red or anything.) But that's about it.
