Having spent much time discussing fictional characters with my acquaintances lately, I noticed that if you placed your favorite characters from various books/movies/games/whateverotherformsofmedia side by side, you (might) have a "type". It is also said that your "type" is the personality that you admire or most closely resemble.

What types of characters do you favor?

For example, mine are typically the psychopathic, sadistic manipulators who chess-master much of the story- but I also love those witty characters who tease other people.

In other news, I haven't been here in a while- and my, is it dead on this forum...

Sympathetic guy, funny, funny & misunderstood, wise, clever, nice guy, Mr Mysterious, guy with a history, funny & sarcastic, clever.

Er... clever and funny maybe?

If you placed all my favorite characters in a room and yelled "Hey, arsehole!" about 25% would glance up.
The other 75% are dead.

I assume, that's not because 25% are vicious killers, is it?

Audrey Ramirez from Atlantis, Mako Mori from Pacific Rim
Maleficent, Tamika Flynn, Carlos the Scientist...

That's a cabbageload of favourite characters.

I like snarky or smooth fast-talking characters like barti. Also, the writing is generally better when they're around

Apparently only intelligent people are able to write those kind of characters sucessfully.
