Yes and no, but he didn't want to leave. After all, Bart was in a body but he didn't lose a connection. It was the brain of the magician's destruction that caused them to not be able to go back.

The djinni in the bodies of the humans were slowly becoming human like.

Not really. Nouda started reverting by the end. The body started growing horns and stuff.
yes but still demons, trapped there, he wanted to make them pay not completely severing his hope to ever go back home

Barti asks Nouda 'But how do you get back?'
Nouda says they're not intending to go back.

I have no idea what you just said, Silver... from what I can gather, it was 'That's Nouda's opinion. Some are more accustomed to sitting or to taking little exercise and want to go back.'

That still makes no sense. And the reason they can't go back is because when they took over the body, they had to crush the mind, and the mind was what summoned them. They can't get back without the person's mind.

Favorite character? Definately...Nathaniel. With Bartimaeus ranked as second, and Ptolemy as third.

I agree with you on Nat. And I think the other two as well, though I like Kitty and Ptolemy the same.

My favorite character would have to be Ptolemy! Then Bartimaeus and Nat :D
Fiction reveals the truth that reality obscures.
I cannot choose, Nathaniel, Bartimaeus and kitty are the best.
geeze. :o i liked Bartimaeus and kitty then nat!

Edit: i dunno where Ptolemy comes in but hes somewhere there.
This space is intentionally blank.
I love Honorius lol xD he's hilarious...and Bartimaeus of course :P no one can beat his wit and humor ^^
I also like Kitty and Nathaniel in the third book since that's when they become most mature

Barti's my fav. But of course I love all the main charactrers, and Ptolemy is a favourite too.

Out of the secondary characters I like Jabour and Faquarl.

I would have to go for Barti too, just cause he's well - Barti :D I realize I may get in trouble for saying this but - I'm not a big Nat fan. He's just too whiny, however mature he becomes in the third book. Kitty's good though.
There is a sort of busy worm,
That will the fairest book deform,
Their tasteless tooth will tear and taint
The poet, patiot,sage or saint,
Nor sparing wit nor learning.
Now, if you'd know the reason why,
The best of reasons I'll supply;
'Tis bread to this poor vermin.

I'd choose Barty straight away. He's my fave character out of all books I've read full stop.

Although some great characters include Queezle, Ptolemy, the Orange Orangutan and the Bird with Stilt Legs.

Yays Orange Orangutan,

'What, hasn't he seen an Orangutan before?'
'Not one with wings, I'm guessing'.

Btw, I probably quoted that wrong, not that it matters.
Uhhhhhhhhhh... Duh?! BARTIMEAUS!!! Whomever else?
