I was going to make a revolutionary war joke, but I figured it would have been to easy. :lol2:

Well I'm Canadian so... =p
I suppose you could try an 1812 joke... Oh wait, you lost that one?

OH SNAP.

:P

Oh man, yeah, I lost that one. xD Since we're on the subject of the war of 1812, you should totally listen to this song -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ety2FEHQgwM

And the white house burnt, burnt, burnt... And we were the ones who did it.
Wait. Why is it so catchy?

It's because those lovely Canadian bands have catchy songs. Seriously, search up "Arrogant Worms" on youtube. Those guys have hilarious songs!

OK, I feel like some explanation is due before I post this *attempt* at fanfiction. This isn't anywhere near my best writing but what with school and mock exams I just haven't been getting the time to work on it properly. I'll admit that I pretty much gave up on trying to make the plot make sense very early on. Quick warning: there is *one* paragraph which isn't PG-rated (blame my friend for helping me write it and for forcing me to put it in). :ermm: I'd be lying if I said I won't be slightly embarrassed when you get to that part. Also, the closer it got to the due date the more the fanfic was written in patches, so when the style randomly changes in between paragraphs...that's why. :$ I thought the effect was interesting though, so I didn't edit any of those bits to fit the 'current' style I was writing in. Let me know what you think.

Anyway, I think that's enough preamble for now (there's a whole load of that in fanfic itself :P )
Er...happy reading?
Also, as compensation for that, here's a poem I wrote a while ago about AoS [and recently added to.]
Bartimaeus: It won't be the only mad thing about if you let this lot go. Check out that one at the end. He's taken the form of a footstool. Weird...but somehow I like his style.
Nathaniel: That is a footstool. No one's using that Pentacle.
Haha. I really loved the poem! If we ever send another Christmas card to JS, that poem should go in it.

As for the fanfic, it was good writing undoubtedly. But I'm not one who really enjoys fanfic and I haven't read more than a couple of them or so, so I can't compare it with the rest to say how it really was. I'm a bad judge there. Faquarl x Ptolemy was a good idea =D
"If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live. No more bees, no more pollination ... no more men!" - Einstein
"I like quoting Einstein. Know why? Because nobody dares contradict you." - Studs Terkel.
<@Ximenez> Sentynel: But i have a life? No. Qed.
Oh my, Oh my.
Wait, did I just read a Faquarl/Ptolemy fic?
Did I just read a Faquarl/Ptolemy fic and liked it?
o.O
I am familiar with the fanfiction world. I can say it was much better than lots of fics that I've read.
As for the poem, it's epic and hilarious and I love it.
"When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story".
Thanks, I feel a *bit* better now than I did when I posted the stuff. :) I've never actually attempted BT fanfiction before and, based on how the writing of it went, I probably won't be doing many more in the future. I guess the HP world is just a lot easier to manipulate in terms of fanfiction. *shrug*

Hey. Hey, guys.
...Faquarl's in the closet. Teeheeheeheehee!
In all seriousness, though, that was great. Very funny and enjoyable to read.

Oh, bravo! I particularly enjoyed the poem, and you needn't be hard on yourself about your entry, as it's honestly a lot better than most Bartimaeus fanfiction I've had the occasional misfortune to come across. Despite, y' know, the UTTER CRACK FACTOR of it.

Uhh well here is mine. For people who've read Good Omens. It's a pdf file and you'll have to download it, so my apologies... but it only takes a second, and you can delete the piece of crap right away!
(honestly, do not expect ANYTHING RESEMBLING QUALITY, because this is CRACK and it's not even INTELLIGENT CRACK. In addition to being UNEDITED due to FRIGGIN NANOWRIMO and written a LONG LONG TIME AGO in HALF AN HOUR, it is also EXTREMELY DIALOGUE DRIVEN and everyone knows THOSE FRIGGIN DIALOGUE FICS are FRIGGIN AWFUL. Also, crossovers qualify as EXTRA-FRIGGIN AWFUL anyway, just as a rough rule.
Now that I've sufficiently lowered your expectations, enjoy yourself.)
Good Omens/BT crossover? DO WANT.

Unfortunately I will have to read these later. Time, what is this time you speak of?

Yes, NaNo's a witch.

Fifth time I try, fifth time I've decided just to give up. Still, at least I have something started for just story writing in general. So I consider it a win anyway.

November is the the absolute worst calculated month of the year. Evil contest makers.

Omg. I completely forgot about my fanfiction story and the due date! I started writing it, and then bam, school jumped on me. I only have 1855 words, so I never finished it :(. Failed.

Story, what story? :P At least half of the words I've written this year have pretty much been just journal entries. I know you're supposed to write a novel, but I had to start a week in due to finals and wasn't sure what to write. So most of what I've got is just story ideas and really random chatter about my day. *cheating cheater*

Hey, I'm all for summer NaNo.

I noticed that alot of people here said that they weren't able to finish it in time, so if you want, I can give untill the end of December for entries to be finished. And if you already submitted but you want to make some changes, you are allowed to do that as well. Does that sound okay with everyone, untill the end of December? If you finish writing before then, it would be lovely if you posted it early.

Thanksgiving was probably not the best choice for the due date, I now realize...
