I guess most of us loath them, but I figure that for more than a few of us, exam season is ahead. Have you a few too many?

I prefer to think about exams being in the far future until a week before they come. Then I freak out.
Look, Queezle.

Lucky. Unfortunately for me, I have about 3 weeks before my first one. They then go on till the end of June.

Technically I have a Physics practical too, but it's part of the Astrophysics module.. and yeah, I have a Maths AEA but the result doesn't really matter - not on my offers or anything.

I finished mine months ago. 'Twas almost fun sleeping alternative days.
Shame of the Super Son
I finished mine ages ago too. I did well, I think. It was a nightmarish fortnight though. I one time almost fell sick during an exam, coz I studied everything in the last moment. It was after Deathly Hallows had released. Only after I had read the book 3 times did I sit to study for the exam & realized how vast the portion was. I had to study till nearly 1:00 every night to catch up. Still, I got 1st rank, so it did'nt really matter.

See, my last set of exams was in January, and now I get another month of them. Oh, the joys of modules.

We have modules - exams each January and June. But that means you have more exams per subject, even if it is in smaller chunks.

we did our sciences in modules. if i dont mess the last one up i should get pretty decent marks in them...shame i cant say the same about my other ones...

A-levels are modular - thank goodness. Didn't like GCSEs, when they weren't. What do you call a course that isn't modular?

Which is all very well unless your exam board decides to set a final module that examines you on everything you've learnt up to that point, so you have to revise it all anyway. Grrrr!

linear??? im guessing.

ouch...thats got to hurt. Well, if youve done well in all your other modules you will be fine. They have gone and messed up all our a levels :( hopefully this will work in our favour...im not happy about them brining in a*s tho.

Yes. Isn't Edexcel wonderful with those synoptic papers?

Do you start A-levels this year then? Tough luck. I mean, it's hard enough to get an A, never mind 90% and above!

And yes, modules are fine - IF you've done well beforehand. You have to be consistent all through the two years; being great right at the end isn't enough

yeah :( i might have scraped As but there is no way i am going to get a*s :(. I dont think we use edexcel much. its mostly AQA and some OCR

Bwuuuh? New rule brought in for these exams: black ink only. Blue is no longer good enough.

You're kidding? I've never used black ink - it looks horrible, and is impossible to find washable black!

Bother them.
