OR it is really just the earth and that is a painted back drop put there to trick us into thinking we are not alone :P (for this to work all maths would need to be wrong. yay!)

True, true. "So long, and thanks for all the fish" has to be one of my favourite titles.

I love that.

When I throw stuff, I usually miss. Haven't quite got the hang of the ground yet.

He died, 9 or 10 years ago, right? Still in his 50s, IIRC

I thought he died in the middle of writing one of his books.

He died in the middle of writing the Salmon of Doubt, which has actually been released in its incomplete state, and is the next Dirk Gently book, or maybe it's the next Hitchhiker's book, or possibly something else entirely. Just to be confusing.

mmhmm.
I think I like the first three best, but then again God's last message to his creations is pretty awesome too.

It should be noted he never gave any indication of when the series would end.

I think I read the first few pages of Salmon.

Is that the one where they published this letter he sent to a magazine when he was 12, where he's describing waiting at the mailbox for the next issue?

i think at that point, I mournfully closed the book, because I was over 16 and couldn't express myself that well.
