Iron that's an element, gold that's and element, oxygen that's and element.

However in the true scientific sense of the word, fire etc are not elements

hydrogen, helium, lithium, boron,.... hang on, I've forgotten. Anyone tried putting caesium in water? Or how about adding a few drops of water to a load of calcium oxide - when held in a plastic container? That's fun!

you missed out beryllium (sp?) :P i used to sit next to a girl who recited them during meal times. I think the most chemistry related fun ive ever had was slime making. twas on the syllabus :D

You realise you could set that on on the old system, right? It was in the options somewhere - always show fast reply.
