I like most from the finnish covers, and i think that the american covers are a bit too childish looking. :boybrr:

Really? I think the American covers are more distinct looking.

(And honestly it's not just because I live in North America)
There is a sort of busy worm,
That will the fairest book deform,
Their tasteless tooth will tear and taint
The poet, patiot,sage or saint,
Nor sparing wit nor learning.
Now, if you'd know the reason why,
The best of reasons I'll supply;
'Tis bread to this poor vermin.

I would have to say...the British one.

American cover. It's metallic. Same goes for Harry Potter, even though it isn't metallic. At our school, we also have the book with the amulet in the middle and a city in the back.

I agree.

But I like the American covers mainly because I saw the shiny amulet on the spine and decided to look at it because it looked pretty.

Especially if it is embossed. One Lord of the Rings book I saw had this picture of a white-haired dude. If the book is so good, then, they could certainly come up with a better picture. I also like Artemis Fowl because it has cool covers. My favorite is The Artemis Fowl Files. I wouldn't have read The Bartimaeus Trilogy if I didn't see AgiVega's fanart and how Fowl-friends are saying it's good, so I read it.

The "white-haired dude" is probably Gandalf (a hugely important character if you didn't know..). I barely look at the covers anyway; they've no reflection on how good the book is.

I live in Australia, so I get the UK one, and I reckon its a lot better than the American version. C'mon, when you compare 'em, the UK one is so much better.
