I've read about half of them so far. They're good.

Terry Pratchett, of course.

I like them; can't always get my head round them mind. I like the ones with the witches, and the ones with Death and Susan.

DEATH IS AWESOME.

I like the Rincewind books myself. The Luggage is perhaps my favourite character.

Haven't read that many myself, but I enjoyed them. I knew it would be funny the instant I started to read about the Big Bang theory in A Colour of Magic.
I wish I were a cat-dragon
i was forced to read sourcery in year nine and quite liked it, which is unusual because most of the books we're made to read are rubbish. i think i started reading either the colour of magic or light fantastic... but sometimes the elaborate descriptions get too much for me and my attention goes elsewhere...

I'd suggest Mort, or Wyrd Sisters. I liked them, though you may prefer The Wee Free Men.

My favourite so far is probably The Last Continent, but you probably need to have read the earlier Rincewind books to get it...

ooh, i think we have those books at my school library. if not, they're probably at my work so i can borrow them from there. i have access to a decent Pratchett collection either way :)

:o I've just realized we had this thread!

These books are great! Been reading them since about last March...

I'm going to pick up Making Money from the library tomorrow. Is it any good?

My absolute favorite is Hogfather, I would have to say.
Something about the way Terry Prachett writes is amazing. In Hogfather, he talks a lot about the power of belief, and it's very moving. I don't know why, but when a comedy tries to serious for a few minutes, for some reason, it seems to come out almost better than in more dramatic books. Hogfather, Soul Music, Sourcery, and a few others do things like this as well.

Also, the Hogfather movie is quite amazing. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend checking it out.

Love the luggage. Re-reading them all.
Run, run as fast as you can...
That'll take a while.

I think I've read almost half.

The last continent :D
made me laugh a lot.

Not a great fan of the Rincewind ones myself (with the exception of Unseen Academicals, but that's not really Rincewind-centric). I prefer the ones with the witches and Vimes.

Recommendations? Carpe Jugulum, The Fourth Elephant, Night-watch, Unseen Academicals.

Rincewind has the Luggage, which is clearly the best Discworld character. (Closely followed by the Patrician.)
